Job summary

Transportation Security Administration in Trenton seeks Supervisory Transportation Security Officers (STSO). You will supervise Officers and Lead Officers, oversee passenger and baggage screening operations, and assign work to ensure smooth, secure screening at the airport.

You will coordinate with airport staff, review performance, provide coaching, and respond to security incidents. This role requires sound judgment and clear communication to lead during routine and fast-moving security

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience supervising transportation-security operations.
Experience as a work leader, team leader, or supervisor required.
U.S. citizen or U.S. national status required.
Must pass background investigation and obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

Supervise Transportation Security Officers and Lead Transportation Security Officers.
Oversee passenger, carry-on and checked baggage screening operations.
Assign work, set priorities, and coordinate staff rotations.
Make security-based decisions using TSA procedures and judgment.
Review performance and provide coaching and feedback.
Approve leave and address routine workplace concerns.
Respond to security incidents, disruptions, and emergencies.
Prepare briefings, logs, incident reports, and management communications.
