Job summary

Transportation Security Administration (TSA), part of the Department of Homeland Security, seeks a Supervisory Transportation Security Officer to lead screening operations at Sharon. You will supervise Officers, coordinate staffing, and ensure procedures are followed accurately in high-stakes environments.

Qualifications include at least one year in supervising transportation-security operations and six months as a leader. Availability for varying shifts and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. national
• At least one year of specialized experience in supervising transportation-security operations
• Six months of experience as a work leader, team leader, or supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise Transportation Security Officers and Lead Transportation Security Officers
• Oversee passenger, carry-on baggage, checked baggage, or cargo-screening operations
• Assign work, establish priorities, and coordinate rotations and coverage
• Make security-based decisions using TSA procedures and professional judgment
• Review employee performance and provide coaching and feedback
• Approve leave and address routine workplace concerns
• Respond to security incidents and emergencies
• Prepare operational briefings and incident reports
• Coordinate with airport stakeholders and TSA leadership
• Recommend improvements to screening procedures and staffing plans
