Job summary

Transportation Security Administration in Marietta is seeking Supervisory Transportation Security Officers to manage screening operations and lead teams across checkpoints.

The role requires supervising officers, coordinating staffing, and making security-based decisions, with shifts that may include early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. Pay ranges from $25.00 to $50.00 per hour with full-time appointment.

Qualifications

• At least one year of specialized experience supervising transportation-security operations.
• At least six months of experience as a work leader, team leader, or supervisor.
• U.S. citizenship or U.S. national is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Transportation Security Officers and Lead Transportation Security Officers.
• Oversee passenger, carry-on baggage, checked baggage, or cargo-screening operations.
• Assign work, establish priorities, and coordinate rotations and coverage.
• Make security-based decisions using TSA procedures and professional judgment.
• Review employee performance and provide coaching, instruction, and feedback.
• Approve leave and address routine employee or workplace concerns.
• Respond to security incidents, checkpoint disruptions, and emergencies.
• Prepare operational briefings, checkpoint logs, and management communications.
• Coordinate with airport stakeholders, law-enforcement personnel, and TSA leadership.
• Recommend improvements to screening procedures, staffing plans, and airport operations.
