Job summary
Houston Engineering, Inc. (HEI) invites applications for a Graduate Engineer to join the Transportation-Roadway team in our Maple Grove office. This role targets individuals with 1-3 years of transportation experience who are passionate about highway design, project development, utility coordination, and construction observation.

Qualifications
- ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Completion of FE exam and EIT registration, or ability to obtain within six months.
- Experience with transportation engineering construction profiles, plans and specs.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation or Open Roads.
- Working knowledge of applicable codes.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship in future.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on a team of engineers in all phases of project development for rural and urban roadways and bridges.
- Assist with geometric design, plans, specifications, estimates, presentations and reports.
- Complete onsite observation during construction phases.
- Represent HEI in communications with clients, contractors, landowners and public entities.
