zTrip NE is seeking an energetic Transportation Recruiter to lead recruiting initiatives focused on attracting, onboarding, and retaining qualified drivers. This role drives the growth of our driver network by identifying top talent and guiding candidates through hiring while creating a positive experience that supports long-term success with zTrip.

The position emphasizes sourcing across job boards, social media, events, and partnerships, with a focus on delivering a strong candidate experience

Key Responsibilities of a Transportation Recruiter:

• Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract qualified driver candidates.
• Source talent through job boards, social media, referral programs, networking events, and community partnerships.
• Screen applicants and conduct initial interviews.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates.
• Promote driving opportunities and career benefits with zTrip.
• Coordinate hiring events, job fairs, and recruiting campaigns.
• Track recruiting activity and maintain accurate candidate records.

Candidate Onboarding

• Guide applicants through the hiring and onboarding process.
• Assist candidates with licensing, documentation, and qualification requirements.
• Ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience from application to activation.
• Coordinate with operational teams to support successful onboarding.
• Identify and resolve onboarding challenges that may delay candidate completion.

Driver Engagement & Retention

• Maintain regular communication with new and existing drivers.
• Conduct follow‑up calls and check‑ins to support driver success.
• Assist with retention initiatives designed to improve driver satisfaction.
• Gather feedback from drivers and identify areas for improvement.
• Support recognition programs and engagement efforts that strengthen company culture.
• Serve as a trusted resource for driver questions and concerns.

Community Outreach & Relationship Building

• Build relationships with workforce agencies, training programs, community organizations, and referral partners.
• Represent zTrip at career fairs, recruiting events, and networking opportunities.
• Develop partnerships that help generate a steady flow of qualified applicants.
• Act as a brand ambassador within the transportation industry and local communities.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

• Monitor recruiting metrics, hiring activity, and candidate conversion rates.
• Maintain recruiting databases and applicant records.
• Prepare reports on recruiting effectiveness and hiring trends.
• Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes and candidate experience.
• Support workforce planning efforts through consistent talent pipeline development.

Qualifications of a Transportation Recruiter:

Preferred Experience

• Experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, staffing, workforce development, customer service, or a related field.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to interview, evaluate, and engage candidates effectively.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Proficiency with recruiting software, applicant tracking systems (ATS), CRM platforms, or related technology preferred.
• Self‑motivated with a results‑oriented mindset.
• Comfortable networking and representing the company in public settings.
• Valid driver's license required.
