Job summary

Americhem is seeking a Research Scientist/Engineer - Transportation to lead programs developing scalable technology platforms and differentiated polymer products for mobility applications. You will collaborate across functions to translate customer needs into new materials, formulations, and processes.

Responsibilities include driving tests, scale-up, and technology transfer, while mentoring team members and ensuring quality and IP compliance. Travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with polymer processing, compounding, formulation development, scale-up and manufacturing support.
• Experience with engineering thermoplastics, polyolefins, and transportation material qualification is preferred.
• Proficiency in DOE and statistical analysis for data-driven product development.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of differentiated technology platforms for transportation markets in polymer products.
• Drive experimentation, prototyping, testing, qualification, and scale-up with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure adherence to Management of Change processes and documentation practices.
• Mentor development engineers and deliver projects on time and to quality standards.
• Coordinate technology transfer with Design Teams, Sales, and customers.
