Transportation Project Manager

Providence, RI (Hybrid)

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the preparation of design and construction bid documents for transportation (roadway) projects involving multi-modal accommodations (Complete Streets) including corridor, intersection, and downtown improvements.
• Effectively present at meetings with clients and the public.
• Maintain project financials/budgets, schedules, and project advancement.
• Manage and mentor staff, provide guidance, manage workloads, and resolve issues.
• Prepare project scopes and budgets for proposals and contracts.
• Maintain communication with clients, including municipalities and regional agencies.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in the transportation engineering field, including roadway design and project management.
• Broad understanding of transportation design and planning standards, specifically state agency standards such as MassDOT, RIDOT, or NHDOT.
• Professional Engineering License.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in planning and managing projects while maintaining budgets and schedules.
• Strong client‑relations skills.

Annual Expected Pay Range

• $130,000 – $155,000 USD
