Your impact

Thriving communities. Healthy cities. A brighter future. What we do is more than building roads; we work every day to make the world better for everyone. If you want to join a company invested in your growth, success, and career development, join us as a Transportation Project Manager.

We are seeking a Transportation Project Manager to join our Colorado transportation team. While based in the Denver area, you will have the opportunity to support and lead transportation projects across Colorado and throughout the United States. Our team serves a diverse portfolio of clients, including state departments of transportation, local municipalities, and federal transportation agencies, providing opportunities to work on projects ranging from significant local improvements to nationally recognized infrastructure programs.

You will collaborate with transportation professionals across multiple offices and disciplines, leveraging national resources while helping strengthen our Colorado transportation practice. The successful candidate will combine strong project management, communication, and relationship-building skills with a passion for delivering transportation solutions that improve mobility, connectivity, and access across communities and some of our nation's most beautiful public lands.

In this role, you will:
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, project partners, and project teams.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams involved in transportation planning, environmental studies, roadway design, structures, utilities, drainage, surveying, public involvement, and construction support.
  • Facilitate communication among clients, stakeholders, technical staff, and project partners.
  • Support development of plans, specifications, estimates, technical reports, and project documentation.
  • Identify project challenges early and work collaboratively to develop practical solutions.
  • Support proposal preparation, interviews, and business development activities.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and successful project delivery.
Here's what you'll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Colorado or the ability to obtain licensure within six months.
  • Experience working with state DOTs, local agencies, or federal transportation clients.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • A collaborative, proactive, and client-focused approach to project delivery.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, technical staff, and executive leadership.
  • Ability to travel periodically for project and client needs and to the Greenwood Village office.

Eligible employees may also enroll in a deferred compensation plan or the Executive Deferral Plan. Jacobs has an unlimited U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off (PPTO) policy for full-time salaried/exempt employees, seven paid holidays, and caregiver leave. And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock.
