The City of Gresham is seeking an Engineer 2 in the Transportation Department to design, plan, construct, and manage transportation projects, meeting FHWA & ODOT requirements. You will produce plans, specs, and cost estimates and oversee project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• At least 1 year of professional engineering experience.
• Current Professional Engineer registration; Oregon PE required within 6 months of employment.
• Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D for drafting, grading and design.
• Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and manage public works and transportation capital projects.
• Lead budgeting, planning, and higher-level project management.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Oversee construction and consultant contracts.
• Collaborate with internal teams, government agencies, developers and the public.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
• Provide technical reports, studies, and recommendations.
