Job summary

Stanley Consultants is seeking a Transportation Principal Engineer/Project Manager in Austin, TX. You will lead and mentor design staff on highway projects, oversee schedule, costs, and quality, and coordinate with clients, subconsultants, and agencies.

The role involves strategic marketing input and wide-ranging project management responsibilities. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in civil/transportation engineering, a TX PE license, and proven leadership with large multidisciplinary highway

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience; 5 years of experience as a Project Manager on large or complex highway projects.
Experience with TxDOT design methods, plan preparation, standards and specifications or similar State DOT experience.
Demonstrated leadership and client liaison skills.

Responsibilities

Lead, direct, and mentor project team design staff on transportation projects including plan development for highway design, earthwork modeling, 3D roadway modeling, and utility coordination.
Assist in staffing requirements and hiring decisions.
Assist in development of marketing strategies for transportation project opportunities.
Adhere to quality assurance/quality control standards per the quality manual.
Prepare and modify reports, plans, schedules, cost estimates, and environmental studies.
