CDM Smith is seeking a policy-oriented professional to join our Transportation Advisory Services. You will help identify, analyze, and solve public policy challenges, including funding, technology, energy, emissions and equity, while engaging with stakeholders and clients.

The role involves researching statutes, drafting policy proposals, and presenting recommendations to diverse audiences. Travel may be required for client-facing work, with potential national scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree. 1 year of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• The frequency of travel is contingent on workload and duties.

Responsabilités

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis of transportation revenue and spending projections.
• Analyze stakeholders including policy positions, influences, priorities, and authorities.
• Design and conduct stakeholder and community outreach to solicit input on policy proposals.
• Research statutes and regulations and summarize them.
• Research, track, and analyze bills.
• Support design and setup of commissions, task forces and working groups addressing policy issues.
• Coordinate input on policy proposals from task forces and stakeholders as directed by clients.
• Design policy proposals and solutions addressing client objectives and constraints.
• Author papers and memoranda framing policy issues with trade-offs and considerations.
• Draft bill language aligning with client priorities for policy proposals.
• Present findings and recommendations to working groups, legislative committees and the public.
