Job summary
Pima County Department of Transportation is seeking an experienced Transportation Planner II to join our team in implementing multi-modal plans that improve safety, connectivity and accessibility. Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in urban planning, civil engineering, transportation engineering or related field.
- Minimum three years in transportation planning, travel demand forecasting or related analysis.
- Experience reviewing subdivision/development plans and roadways to standards.
- Proven ability to manage projects including scopes, schedules and budgets.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate land planning work and research; prepare updates to zoning and comprehensive plans.
- Review development proposals, provide staff recommendations with research and data.
- Maintain department records, files, databases, and maps for planning functions.
- Present oral/written reports to County boards, agencies, and citizen groups.
- Perform zoning administration and interpret regulations; review permits for compliance.
