Job summary

Ashley Furniture is seeking an Operations Coordinator focused on routing and capacity planning. You will manage daily routing tasks, monitor warehouse capacity, and coordinate with multiple departments to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Transportation Logistics: Manage and schedule transportation for timely and accurate deliveries from the distribution center.
  • Track DeliverySchedules and performance to ensure on-time goods arrival.
  • Collaborate with inventory management and customer service for timely orders.
  • Handle transportation-related paperwork and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Optimize routes with drivers and third-party providers to improve efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot scheduling issues to minimize disruptions.
  • Suggest process improvements in transportation coordination.

Summary

Operations Coordinator with a focus on routing. This position will performday-todayrouting and capacity planning,monitorOperations and Warehousecapacitiesand facilitate communications between departments as needed to maximize available capacity in the most cost-effective manner. This position will apply accountability standards based on key metrics and implement change to continuously improve performance and increase efficiencies. This position will also encompass all other duties encompassed by theOperationsCoordinator position when the dailyroutingtasks are completed.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Transportation Logistics: Manage and schedule transportation fortimelyandaccuratedeliveries from the distribution center.
  • Track Performance: Monitor delivery schedules, track transportation performance, and resolve any issues to ensure goods arrive on time.
  • Collaborate Across Departments: Work with internal teams, including inventory management and customer service, to ensure seamless coordination andtimelyorder fulfillment.
  • Manage Documentation: Handle transportation-related paperwork and ensure compliance with all regulations, such as shipping documents and safety protocols.
  • OptimizeRouting: Work with drivers and third-party transportation providers tooptimizedelivery routes and improve efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot Transportation Issues: Resolve any transportation or scheduling issues quickly and effectively to minimize disruptions.
  • Suggest Process Improvements: Identifyopportunities for process improvements in transportation coordination and suggest changes to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications required
  • Relevant Experience: Experience in customer service,logistics, supply chain management, or transportation coordination, including managing orders, transportation, and inventory.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external transportation partners.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Ability to troubleshoot issues and make quick, informed decisions to keep transportation and deliveries on track.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in using logisticssoftware, ERP systems, or TMS (Transportation Management Systems), and the ability to quickly learn new tools as needed.
Additional Qualifications, preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
  • This position is located in an active industrial manufacturing and distribution center with moderate to high noise levels, temperature variations, and material handling equipment in operation. The role may require extended periods of standing or walking on concrete floors and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and steel-toed boots. The fast-paced environment involves time-sensitive and safety sensitive operations and may include various shift schedules to support production and distribution needs.
Pay

$17- $22.50

10:30am-4:30PM Monday and Friday
