Ryder is hiring a Transportation Manager in Montgomery, AL to lead shuttle transportation and yard spotting operations for manufacturing and distribution facilities. You will manage the driver workforce, coordinate with customers and Ryder leadership, and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires extensive knowledge of logistics, regulatory standards, and supply chain components, with strong MS Office and communications skills to operate in a fast-paced environment.

Competenze

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred
• Two (2) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required
• One (1) year or more direct supervisory/leadership experience required
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) is required. advanced required
• Logistics industry knowledge advanced required
• Knowledge and understanding of Customer/Company local and Federal regulations advanced required
• Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components intermediate required

Job Description

We are hiring a Transportation Manager in Montgomery, AL for our Supply Chain Solutions division.

• Pay Type: Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month
• Annual Salary Pay: $80K
• Schedule: Mon – Fri 10am – 7pm

Summary

The Transportation Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable execution of shuttle transportation and yard spotting operations supporting manufacturing and distribution facilities. The Manager provides direct operational leadership to the driver workforce, coordinates daily requirements with customer and Ryder warehouse/operations leadership, manages equipment and labor capacity, monitors service performance, and drives continuous improvement.

Compensation Information
