Volke-USA is seeking a Transportation Management Specialist in Greer, SC to support the transportation service provider, ensure KPIs are met, and act as the point of contact for issue resolution related to targets achieved.

The role leads and steers projects, creates escalation processes, and drives accountability across teams to improve transport performance and efficiency.

Qualificações

• BA/BS in Economics, Engineering, SCM or related field, or 4+ years in a related area.
• 5+ years in logistics service provider contract compliance or SCM.
• 3+ years of Project Management.
• 3+ years of predictive analytics or statistical risk analysis.
• 3+ years of transportation scheduling.
• 3+ years of communication skills (oral and written).

Responsabilidades

• Performs and documents monthly and quarterly evaluations of transportation service provider performance.
• Reports on non-conformances in a structured manner.
• Defines an escalation process with countermeasures.
• Uses escalation paths to ensure support and accountability.
• Provides recommendations to improve operational efficiencies (team collaboration, visual management, best practices).
• Collaborates with transportation service providers and impacted partners.
• Maintains process standardization across shifts via revisions and communications.
• Establishes individual performance targets and documents quarterly reviews.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Operations Supervisor.

Job Description

AsTransportation Management Specialistyou will support the transportation service provider to ensure they meet all key performance indicators (KPIs) and serves as a point of contact to assist in resolving any issues related to the targets being achieved. You will be responsible to leads and steers projects related to the provider and demonstrates the ability to create and utilize escalation processes to ensure support and accountability of the transportation service provider.

This role is located with our client in the Greer, SC area.

A-shift.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents both monthly and quarterly evaluations of transportation service provider performance to ensure they are achieving all established targets.
• Reports on the transportation service provider non-conformances in a structured manner.
• Defines an escalation process to report identified repetitive issues with identified countermeasures.
• Utilizes defined escalation paths when required to ensure support, action and accountability is provided, steer as needed.
• Provides recommendations on how the transportation service provider can improve operational efficiencies to include, but not limited to, team collaboration, visual management, best practices, etc.
• Collaborates actively with the transportation service providers and/or other process partners impacted by the transportation service provider’s processes.
• Ensures process standardization is maintained on all shifts through process revisions and communications with the immediate team and/or transportation service providers.
• Establishes individual performance targets for transportation service providers and provides documented quarterly performance reviews.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management Operations Supervisor.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field, or the equivalent of 4+ years experience in a related area preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years professional experience managing logistics service provider/supplier contract compliance and/or supply chain management experience.
• 3+ years of Project Management experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Office Skills to include Outlook, Excel (pivot tables and macros experience needed), Word, and PowerPoint, as proved through business application.
• 5+ years proven problem solving skills.
• 3+ years of conduction predictive analytics or statistical risk analysis.
• 3+ years of transportation scheduling.
• 3+ years of communication skills (oral and written) as proven through business application.
