Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. is seeking Transportation Engineering Interns for Spring 2027 in Pennsylvania (Enola or King of Prussia). This full-time co-op (40 hours/week) is largely onsite.

You’ll work with the Transportation team on traffic, roadway, bridges, and planning projects under licensed engineers and use Civil 3D/OpenRoads tools. Applicants must have work authorization in the U.S. and be willing to relocate at their own expense for in-office time.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university, preferably sophomore status.
• Pursuing a Civil Engineering degree or civil adjacent degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to function well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional multitasking and time management skills.
• Be ready and open to learning.
• Be located in Pennsylvania near an office or willing to relocate at own expense (in-office at least 2 days/week).

Responsibilities

Overview

Join us for an internship experience that offers real-world project involvement within a supportive environment alongside ample opportunities for professional and personal growth. At this time, we are seeking multiple Transportation Engineering Interns in our Pennsylvania (Enola or King of Prussia) offices for Spring 2027 (Jan-May 2027). This co-op will be a full-time position working 40 hours a week. The Transportation Engineering Intern will work alongside the Woolpert infrastructure teams working on a variety of projects across the Transportation spectrum including projects in traffic, roadway and pedestrian facilities, bridges and structures and transportation planning. Work can include several disciplines across a variety of clients and project types. All these projects directly impact the communities where we live and work.

This internship has a significant portion of work onsite/in-office. Woolpert does not provide housing or relocation for internships/co-ops. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.

What You Will Do

• Work as part of the industry leading Transportation team.
• Gain real-world experience working on actual projects alongside Licensed Engineers that are experts in their fields.
• Assist on a variety of projects doing such things as analysis, design, plan production and cost estimation.
• Use industry leading applications such as Civil 3D and OpenRoads Designer, alongside discipline specific programs that aid in design.
• Work as a member of a team that coordinates with other internal teams and external subconsultants and clients.
• Perform tasks and solve problems with a high degree of independence.
