This opportunity entails being responsible for assisting assigned department(s) and/or project(s) by performing basic engineering related tasks which may reflect elements of standard post-secondary engineering curriculum. Our Boston, Massachusetts office is seeking Intern Engineers interested in Transportation for Summer 2027 in our: Roadway, Traffic, and Stormwater/Utilities departments. Interns within our Roadway department will have the opportunity to contribute to the design and development of highway and roadway projects. These projects can range from small intersection and multimodal corridor improvement projects to large interchanges, multimodal improvements, bridge reconstruction projects and/or design-build projects. Working closely with experienced design engineers, they will be involved in all aspects of the design process, from concept development to final construction plans. Interns within our Traffic department will play a vital role in analyzing, designing, and optimizing transportation systems. They will work closely with mid and senior traffic engineers and a multidisciplinary team to develop innovative solutions that enhance traffic flow, promote safety, and improve the overall performance of transportation networks. Interns within our Stormwater and Utilities department will have the opportunity to contribute to the design and development of stormwater management and utility projects. Working closely with experienced design engineers, they will play a key role in designing effective and sustainable systems that mitigate flooding, manage stormwater runoff, and enhance the efficiency of utility networks.
