Job summary

First Student is seeking a Transportation Field Supervisor to oversee driver performance, inspect vehicles, and ensure safety and customer service across routes.

This role requires English proficiency, DOT compliance awareness, and the ability to coordinate with management, dispatch routes, and support driver interviews.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy with Word, Excel, Outlook required.
• Experience with collision/injury claims a plus.
• Prior School Bus Driver experience preferred.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and compliance with 49 CFR Part 40.

Responsibilities

• Monitor driver pre/post trip inspections and equipment issues; take corrective action.
• Perform driver road checks and assess work readiness.
• Conduct IPP safety contacts with drivers; correct violations on scene.
• Dispatch and drive routes as needed.
• Assist management with driver interviews.
• Monitor on-time performance.

Pay Rate: $22.50 per hour

Major Responsibilities:

• Monitors driver pre and post trip inspections and equipment issues and takes corrective action.
• Performs driver road checks and observes drivers for work readiness.
• Performs IPP Safety contacts with drivers; corrects safety violations on the scene.
