The Transportation Engineering Technologist will operate within the Survey and Mapping Unit of the Right of Way Division, covering District 3 (Jackson, Roane, Calhoun, Ritchie, Pleasants, Wood), District 4 (Doddridge, Harrison, Taylor, Preston, Monongalia, Marion), and District 6 (Brooke, Hancock, Marshall, Ohio, Tyler, and Wetzel counties),with a primary focus on District 6. As a Survey Party Chief, the successful candidate will lead all aspects of surveying and mapping, delivering expert-level data tailored to West Virginia Division of Highways (DOH) project requirements. Reporting to the Regional Manager, the incumbent will provide managerial oversight to subordinates, manage assigned projects, and ensure the accurate delivery of complex survey data. Performs related work as required.
