Job summary

Gorove Slade is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern to join our collaborative team in one of our Virginia, DC, or Maryland offices. You will assist with maps and graphics for projects, and be introduced to Vistro, GIS, Sidra, Synchro, and SimTraffic to support traffic analyses.

You will work with cross-functional teams on planning solutions, gain exposure to industry standards, and participate in a supportive mentorship program designed for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Strong interest in transportation planning and engineering.
• Exposure to data analysis and GIS tools.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Passion for solving transportation challenges.

Responsibilities

• Assist preparing maps and create clear graphics to support project needs.
• Get introduced to tools like Vistro, GIS, Sidra, Synchro, and SimTraffic for traffic impact studies.
• Conduct parking demand, occupancy, and shared parking studies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop transportation solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
