Apex Companies LLC is seeking a Transportation Co-op to support the Quincy, MA team on a range of municipal transportation projects. You will assist with planning, design, permitting, and construction administration for bike lanes, sidewalks, signals, roundabouts, and related improvements.

The role includes field work, GPS observations, and exposure to AutoCAD and Esri GIS tools. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifikationen

• Valid driver's license.
• Ideally, candidates should be enrolled in or have completed civil engineering courses (not required).
• GET 1150 - Foundations of Engineering Graphics and Design
• CIVE 4554 - Highway Design
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
• Experience in AutoCAD and GIS mapping software (Esri products) preferred.
• Must possess solid technical and problem-solving skills.

Co-op students typically support team members with planning, design, permitting, and construction administration activities for project types including bike trails, sidewalks, traffic signals, roundabouts, streetscapes, or other types of transportation improvements.. Co-op work primarily consists of office work but may also include a field work component. The type of work and extent of responsibility depends on the aptitude of the student but is also substantially affected by the time of year and current project schedule.Field work may include GPS and/or construction observations.

The transportation team at Apex delivers transformational projects with State and Municipal clients that focus on safety, complete streets, asset management and economic improvements. Our approach includes the full life cycle of project development from planning to analysis, design, and construction administration. Co-ops receive an opportunity to assist with a variety of projects and clients depending on available work and interest.

Job Requirements:

• Valid driver's license.
• Ideally, interested candidates should either be currently enrolled in or have completed the following civil engineering or equivalent courses, but it isn’t a requirement:

Hourly Expected Pay Range: $26 — $28 USD
