AECOM is actively seeking an Entry Level Transportation Engineer (EIT) to join our Wisconsin team. This position is expected to start in Summer 2027 and offers exposure to transportation project design and data analysis under experienced mentors.

The role focuses on developing analytic and design skills, assisting with drawings, calculations, and data collection, and learning to use industry software while contributing to budget and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or plan to pass within one year.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D from coursework or projects.
  • General understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, and final working drawings under supervision.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Builds analytic and design skills.
  • Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or have a plan to pass the FE exam within one year.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • General understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D from coursework or projects or internship
  • Involved in student organizations such as ASCE, SWE, ITE, WISE, EWB, and WTS.
