The California Department of Transportation seeks a Transportation Engineer (Civil) for the North Region, Division of Project Development and Construction. The incumbent performs transportation engineering tasks under supervision, applying Caltrans standards in both office and field environments.

The Rotation Program offers 24 to 33 months of structured development with 6–12 month assignments across design and construction units, potentially involving statewide travel and varied locations.

Qualifications

• PE license (Civil) required for Range D.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsabilités

• Perform transportation engineering tasks of average difficulty in accordance with Caltrans standards, manuals, policies and directives.
• Work under supervision of Branch Chief or Area Construction Engineer in office or field environments.
• Rotate through diverse project delivery units as part of the Caltrans Transportation Engineer (Civil) Rotation Program.
• Be prepared for travel and assignments across California as needed.
