Job summary

VHB’s Transportation Engineering & Highway Co-op in Watertown, MA offers hands-on learning in a supportive environment. The program runs January–June 2027, exposing students to design, planning, and fieldwork across public, private, and institutional clients.

Responsibilities include roadway drawings, right-of-way planning, and data collection, with collaboration across VHB teams to deliver timely results. Strong communication and a proactive, detail‑oriented work style are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Team oriented with strong capability to work independently.

• Knowledge of drawing and mapping tools such as AutoCAD and GIS.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) required.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of roadway drawings and estimates.
• Preparation of right-of-way and easement plans.
• Assist in development of planning and engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with numerous VHB staff to advance projects in a timely manner.
• Perform field data collection and other on-site project support activities.
