Transportation Driver (Orange County/Port Arthur)

Nutrition & Services for Seniors is a non‑profit agency dedicated to providing innovative, effective programs that assist older adults in leading quality lives while maintaining dignity and independence.

Responsibilities

• Transport clients to and from destination.
• Learn duties of assigned route.
• Learn paperwork to be completed daily/weekly.
• Learn proper food handling in relation to vehicle and food container sanitation and temperature.
• Learn vehicle upkeep to be performed daily by driver.Learn how, when and where to report any vehicle problem (mechanical or damage).

Qualifications

• Must be 25 years of age or older with a valid Texas driver license at all times.
• Must have human relation skills and ability to relate to people of all races, colors, creeds, and origins.
• Must be able to relate to senior citizens and be aware of their special needs.
• Must present a good example through actions and appearance.
• Must be able to work in a structured team environment and be willing to be a team member.
• Must have no more than one traffic violation in 18 months.
• Must not have any “A” violations (DUI, operating a vehicle during a period of suspension or revocation).
• Must be able to pass a drug test and physical.
