California Armenian Home is seeking a dedicated Transportation Driver to provide safe, reliable shuttle services for residents. The role requires a CDL Class B and strong customer service, with attention to safety and DOT compliance.

Responsibilities include transporting residents per schedule, assisting those with mobility needs, and maintaining vehicle readiness while ensuring a friendly, respectful demeanor at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CDL Class B license required.
• Provide a DMV printout showing driving history for the past 10 years.
• Experience in a customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.

Responsibilities

• Drives a van or bus to transport residents according to a scheduled route.
• Assists disabled passengers into and out of the vehicle.
• Secures wheelchairs with restraints to stabilize during trips.
• Operates radio to communicate with base or other vehicles.
• Cleans and services vehicles with fuel, oil, and accessories.
• Schedules appointments for resident transportation.
• Meets all DOT requirements.
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Job Description

Transportation Experience Preferred, CDL Class B Driver's License Required

Position Summary:

Drives a van or bus to transport residents by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drives vehicle from community area to destination according to an assigned schedule.
• Assists disabled passengers into and out of vehicle.
• Secures passengers' wheelchairs with restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during a trip.
• Operates radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
• Cleans and services vehicles with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
• Schedules appointments for residents to be transported.
• Meets all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Educational Requirements and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class B is required.
• Must provide a current DMV print out containing the driving history of the past (10) years.
