Job summary

Sevita's Brockton Med Adult Day Center is seeking a Transportation Driver to safely transport older adults and individuals with rehabilitation needs to and from the day program. You will assist with boarding and exiting, perform daily vehicle checks, and help program staff with participant care and activities.

Requirements include fluent English, a full Massachusetts driver’s license for at least two years, high school diploma or equivalent, and a clean background check.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Massachusetts driver’s license for at least two years
• Valid vehicle registration and insurance
• 2 years of experience driving a 14-passenger van/bus or providing passenger transportation preferred
• Must pass required background check and drug screening prior to hire
• Compassionate, dependable, and a strong communicator

Responsibilities

• Safely transport older adults and individuals with rehabilitation needs between homes, the day center, appointments, and community programs
• Assist passengers with boarding, securing, and exiting the vehicle
• Complete daily vehicle checks, maintain cleanliness, and report maintenance or service needs
• Support day program staff with participant care, activities, meals, and general assistance

Job description

MENTOR Adult Day Health, a member of the Sevita family, provides day programs for elders with complex medical or rehabilitative needs. This allows seniors to obtain quality healthcare while remaining active and involved in the community and continuing to live in their own homes. Our programs are staffed with qualified, experienced licensed nurses and caregivers who are trained to provide individual assistance to each person we serve.

Transportation Driver – Adult Day Care

REQUIRED TO APPLY: Applicants must be fluent in English and have held a full, valid Massachusetts driver’s license for at least two (2) years.

Wage: $18.00/hour

Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week | Monday–Friday | Day Shift

No evenings. No on-call shifts!
