Job summary

The Center at CenterPlace is seeking a Part Time Transport Driver/Administrative Support Team Member to join our skilled nursing team. The role involves safely transporting residents to appointments, providing quality customer service, and assisting with administrative duties to support coordinated patient care.

Responsibilities include verifying patient information, arranging transportation, retrieving labs, and assisting nursing staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, and crouch repetitively.
• Must be able to push a minimum of 200 pounds for a long distance.
• Must be able to lift bulky items up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to and from appointments and assist at the site as needed.
• Enter orders for appointments and transportation and retrieve diagnostic labs.
• Provide and troubleshoot medical equipment for patient transport (wheelchairs, gurneys, etc.).
• Maintain safety standards and assist with administrative duties as required.

Our highly qualified, caring staff provides care in a beautiful, hotel-like atmosphere to help our patients achieve strength and functionality.Job Description: The Transport Driver is responsible for safely transporting facility residents to and from appointments, providing quality customer service and helping to set the tone for the level of care residents will receive at The Center.We are looking for a Part Time Van Driver/ Administrative Support Team MemberJob Duties and ResponsibilitiesTransport Driver Reviews patient information prior to appointment in order to determine patient needs. Verifies all information with nursing staff as necessary.Implements customer-service standards, resolves problems, and determines & completes patient transportation system improvements.Transport Driver Stays with patient at appointments to provide assistance upon request.Enters orders for appointments and transportation and retrieves/sends diagnostic labs needed for appointment.Determines best route to and from appointments prior to the departing time, along with equipment required to load and unload patient.Transport Driver Keeps equipment operating by establishing and enforcing operating and preventative maintenance rules; arranges for repairs, oil changes, etc.Provides and troubleshoots medical equipment needed for patient transport, including but not limited to oxygen, wheelchairs, gurneys, and IVs.Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complies with legal regulations.Transport new admissions and occasional discharges.Other Administrative duties as neededEducationHigh school diploma or GEDExperience and Specific RequirementsMust possess and maintain a valid driver's license as well as a clean driving record.Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, and crouch repetitively.Must be able to push a minimum of 200 pounds for a long distance.Must be able to lift bulky heavy items up to 100 pounds.Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language.Job Type: PTPay:$20 per hour.Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Van Driver: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:Driver's LicenseWork Location:One locationJob Type: PTPay: $20.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)License/Certification:Driver's License (Required)Work Location: In person
