Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Bastrop is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Transportation Driver to join our Intensive Outpatient Team in Farmerville, Louisiana.

Position Summary

• Coordinates safe transportation of IOP patients to and from their residences/appointments as well as meal pick up.
• Provides assistance to mental health services staff for patient care activities.
• Responsible for transporting patients to and from the facility site, assisting in the overall day-to-day functioning of the program including aiding other staff in patient chart production, meal provision, answering telephones and supervising patients during staff break periods.
• Communicates to staff any problematic or clinical issues that occur during supervision of or transportation of patients.

Education

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

License

• Current, valid state driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association (will provide service or renewal if needed).

Experience

• Transporting patients or passengers in a 10–12 passenger van or similar vehicle (Preferred).
• 1–2 years of driving or transportation experience in a healthcare, behavioral health, or similar setting (Preferred).
