BKF Engineers is hiring a Transportation Design Engineer with a few years of civil infrastructure design experience to join our Bay Area offices. You will work with a multidisciplinary team on transportation projects from concept through construction documentation, utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D and contributing to site grading, drainage, and utility design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 1–3 years in site development and design of subdivisions, utilities, roads, and public works.
• EIT or FE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform geometric calculations and plotting for transportation design projects.
• Conduct hydraulic calculations to support drainage and utilities.
• Prepare grading calculations and grading plans using CAD tools.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop and refine design documents.
• Gather data from public agencies to support planning, permitting and design decisions.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure accuracy and alignment with project goals.
• Review plans and calculations for completeness and standards compliance.
