Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Coordinator/EIT based in Paducah, KY. The role focuses on detailed roadway design, including alignment, geometrics, drainage, and construction estimates, within HDR’s employee-owned culture.

The successful candidate will hold an Engineering degree with an EIT certificate or be pursuing it, and demonstrate proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD, with knowledge of Bentley/Autodesk road design tools. Local candidates preferred. Full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field is required.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate preferred and active.
• Active participation in HDR's employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects.
• Take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans and construction estimates.
• Provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications and calculations.
• Perform other duties as needed

In the role of Transportation Coordinator/EIT, we'll count on you to:

• Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
• Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d
• Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
• Preference given to local candidates
