Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a Transportation Coordinator (Driver) to deliver a structured, resident-focused transportation program within the community. This role extends beyond driving to include coordination, scheduling, resident communication, and operational support.

Full-time role with Sunday through Thursday shifts. Responsibilities include operating vehicles safely, managing transport requests, and assisting the Entertainment & Programming team with outings while ensuring

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be 21+ with a minimum of 3 years of licensed driving experience.
  • Valid state Driver's License (Class E in Missouri) and Clean MVR.
  • Ability to safely operate passenger vehicles, buses, and mobility lift systems while assisting residents with mobility needs.
  • Previous experience with older adults, transportation, or coordination preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides transportation services during scheduled work hours, including coverage of designated medical transportation days (Tuesday and Thursday).
  • Safely operate community vehicles to provide medical, recreational, and personal transportation to residents.
  • Enter and manage transportation requests in our digital transportation management system, ensuring schedules are accurate and aligned with guidelines.
  • Maintain vehicle readiness by completing routine inspections and ensuring vehicles are clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
  • Support the Entertainment & Programming team with scheduled outings and events, including planning, logistics, resident participation, and adherence to safety protocols and return schedules.
  • During non-driving hours, provide community support as needed, including programming and interdepartmental support.
