Job summary

BD is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage day-to-day coordination of outbound transportation, inventory, and cross-border shipments at our San Diego site. This role requires collaboration with operations, procurement, and compliance teams to optimize service levels and cost efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years in supply chain/logistics, familiarity with international shipping, and proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or associate's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, International Trade, Operations, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, transportation, import/export, distribution, or trade compliance.
  • Working knowledge of international shipping, customs regulations, and import/export documentation.
  • Experience coordinating transportation providers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining compliance and service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, import/export controls, and company policies.
  • Maintain import/export documentation, product classifications, country of origin records, and customs records.
  • Collect, analyze, and report KPIs related to transportation, inventory, service levels, compliance, and supply chain performance.
  • Collaborate with operations, procurement, planning, quality, and customer service teams to address supply chain challenges.
  • Promote customer-focused solutions by communicating customer requirements throughout the organization.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shipment delays, compliance issues, and transportation exceptions.

  • Experience in medical device, manufacturing, distribution, or regulated industries.
