Job summary

PFG Customized in Elkton, MD is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to support our food distribution operations. You will track driver routes, coordinate schedules, and ensure timely, safe deliveries while serving as the face of the company to customers and vendors.

Responsibilities include maintaining DOT files, processing payroll data, and handling inquiries. The role requires strong administrative skills, basic math and data entry, and a commitment to accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• At least 6 months in a transportation environment.
• Experience with basic math and computer data entry.
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.
• Successful completion of post-offer drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Tracks, calculates, and coordinates driver and route information.
• Performs driver check-in and handles related calls.
• Maintains and tracks DOT files and vehicle inspection, fuel, and mileage reports.

Position Purpose:

Food and food service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers not only make sure the customers’ products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition, but they are the face of our company – building lasting relationships with our customers!

As a Coordinator, Transportation, you will play a vital role in ensuring our drivers is equipped with the information needed to deliver all products on time and safely. The Coordinator, Transportation supports the transportation team in improving production processes and maintaining daily business. This includes tracking, calculating, and coordinating a variety of driver and route information along with performing administrative tasks. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Tracks, calculates, and coordinates driver and route information. Performs driver check-in.
• Answers and coordinates incoming transportation related phone calls.
• Maintains and tracks all DOT required files and other reports (vehicle inspection, fuel, and mileage).
• Tracks, inputs, and processes driver payroll data. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Schedule is Tuesday-Friday 6am -2:30pm and Saturday 4:30am-1pm with a 30 minute lunch break each day.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• 6+ months in a transportation environment
• Administrative support performing basic math and computer data entry skills Knowledge and understanding of Department of Transportation regulations
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
