Actus Nutrition is seeking a Transportation Coordinator in Eden Prairie, MN to manage inbound and outbound freight across plants and customer sites. Responsibilities include negotiating rates, selecting carriers, and ensuring cost goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years' experience in Logistics and carrier management.
• Experience with freight scheduling and/or rating tools.
• Experience supporting production operations.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Results driven and analytical with data analysis.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing transportation environment.
• Experience with transportation shipments preferred.

Responsabilités

• Negotiate rates and help choose carriers for liquid shipments.
• Review freight invoices for accuracy.
• Become proficient on transportation desks to assist with coverage.
• Maintain freight rate sheets for liquid fats, delactosed permeate, and waste hauling.
• Produce quarterly transportation cost reports for team analysis.
• Identify improvements in freight billing and logistics processes.
• Collaborate with procurement and plant teams to optimize receiving/shipping.
• Provide weekend coverage as scheduled.
• Cover Transportation Specialists when traveling or unavailable.
• Respond to plant and carrier needs after hours.

The Transportation Coordinator supports inbound and outbound freight for all products moving between plants, toll locations, and customer sites. This includes scheduling trucks, negotiating rates, selecting carriers, and identifying primary and backup carriers for each shipping lane to meet supply, customer, and cost goals.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Negotiate rates and help choose carriers for liquid shipments.
• Review freight invoices to make sure costs are correct.
• Become proficient on all transportation desks to assist with coverage as needed
• Keep freight rate sheets updated for liquid fats, delactosed permeate, and waste hauling.
• Produce quarterly transportation reports of cost for all categories for team analysis
• Look for ways to improve freight billing and logistics.
• Work with procurement and plant teams to improve receiving and shipping.
• Provide weekend coverage as scheduled.
• Cover for the Transportation Specialists during travel or time off.
• Respond to plant and carrier needs after hours as needed.

Position Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-2 years' experience in Logistics and carrier management.
• Background in Microsoft office and freight scheduling &/or rating tools
• Experience in supporting production operations
• Excellent communication skills
• Results Driven
• Analytical and data analysis
• Ability to work in fast paced, changing transportation environment
• Previous experience with transportation shipments preferred

The salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $70,0000.00 USD based on experience. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to education, skill set and depth of experience.
