Job summary

The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western is seeking a Project Manager for its Transportation Division in Virginia Beach, VA and Yorktown, VA to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience, proven leadership of construction teams, strong client-relationship skills, and the ability to forecast costs and manage schedules to ensure profitable delivery.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in construction/project management.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience leading construction teams.
• Proven track record in client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for multiple aspects of project controls including costs, planning, scheduling, engineering and personnel management.
• Project startup, completion, and close-out processes.
• Develop strategies for personnel development and recruiting.
• Manage contractual issues and customer relationships.
• Accurate forecasting of costs for project completion.
• Lead and develop the project team and resolve issues.
• Ensure quality assurance and control plans.
• Coordinate with Safety Manager to meet safety goals.
