Role Overview: Transportation Construction Manager II

We rely on you to:

  1. Coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, and oversee quality control
  2. Develop and implement the Project Management Plan and Construction Management Plan
  3. Create procedures for contract administration, including document, change, time, cost, quality, and safety management
  4. Perform construction management activities such as procurement, schedule development, subcontract review, constructability and value engineering reviews, estimating, and performance presentations
  5. Administer and oversee construction activities
  6. Monitor design progress in relation to construction needs
  7. Conduct value engineering and constructability reviews
  8. Coordinate local bidding efforts and procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages
  9. Review and coordinate construction submittals, shop drawings, and pay applications
  10. Prepare, negotiate, and manage Change Orders
  11. Analyze construction schedules and control project budgets and schedules
  12. Manage quality assurance, inspection services, and subcontractor safety compliance
  13. Maintain project schedules, financial reports, and progress updates
  14. Oversee project setup, temporary facilities, and perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with estimating, scheduling, project management, and web-based collaboration software
  • Local candidates preferred

This position requires a background check and preemployment drug screening.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • At least 10 years of construction planning and management experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with diverse stakeholders
  • Active participation in our employee-owned culture
