Qualifications

• A Technical school certificate or an associate degree or higher in drafting, design surveying, GIS or combination of relevant coursework and drafting experience
• Understanding and application of drafting methods, standards, and procedures
• Working knowledge of MicroStation drafting and design software
• Working knowledge Civil 3D
• Working knowledge of Bluebeam or other PDF editor
• Effective written and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with a mentor and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Draft and design construction documents for municipal and civil transportation projects.
• Process field data and organize drawing/file structures.
• Create conceptual/preliminary alignment layouts and assist in 3D modeling with engineers.
• Compute quantities and assist with cost estimates under supervision.
• Help deliver quality work and maintain Garver's drafting standards.
