McPherson School District has an immediate opening for apart-time bus driver.
The bus driver will assume responsibility for the safe and efficient transportation of students to and from school and school activities. The driver will recognize safety as a priority, yet promote student friendly atmosphere.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to verbally communicate with students, parents, teachers, principals and supervisor. Ability to read a map read written directions and follows verbal directions. Ability to complete route logs.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to record time and mileage.
Ability to operate a two-way radio and cellular telephone.
Ability to solve practical problems related to personnel, student behavior, vehicle maintenance, including emergency situations.
