Job summary

US0184 South Payroll, Division of Sysco Resources Services, LLC, a Sysco company, seeks an operations clerical professional in the transportation department in Seattle. The role focuses on maintaining all regulatory compliance as required by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and supporting daily logistics operations.

You will gather driver daily paperwork and logs, answer phones, route calls, research operational challenges, order supplies, and act as the primary contact for inbound freight

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
• 2 years of distribution/transportation experience in a high-volume operation preferred.

• Run daily reports for operations supervisors (observations, vehicle tracking, etc.).
• Perform all other tasks as assigned by supervision or management.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION:

$18.87 / HR

Shift: Sunday through Thursday 3pm - 11:30pm

Payrate: $18.87 / HR

JOB SUMMARY

This is an operations position responsible for performing clerical duties within the transportation department including maintaining all regulatory compliance as required by the Department of Transportation (DOT).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gather, organize and process driver daily paperwork, logs, manifest, vehicle inspection, etc.
• Answer phones, route calls and take messages.
• Research operation challenges, order supplies, liaison between office and operations

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.

Experience

• 2 years of prior customer service experience preferred.
• 2 years’ distribution/transportation experience in a high volume, route delivery operation preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

• Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets the company’s insurability standards.

Professional Skills

• Strong leadership, analytical and motivational skills.
• Knowledge of D.O.T. regulations.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Expertise in Windows operating system and utilizing Excel and Word.
• Understanding of Manpower scheduling.
