Amazon is seeking a Transportation Associate to perform trailer moves in the yard and coordinate yard activities to support a seamless transportation network. Responsibilities include safety, coordinating arrivals/departures, and training in CMV operation, with DOT compliance and strong emphasis on accurate reports.
Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license, be 21+, and able to work flexible hours including weekends and nights. EAP and benefits are provided as part of the employment package.

Transportation Associates will perform trailer moves in the trailer yard, coordinate yard activities (such as checking in trailers, traffic flow, internal communications with operations, etc.), conduct yard audits, complete applicable driver training programs (Hostler, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) School, etc.), and operate multiple vehicle types based on business need (including but not limited to hostlers and day cabs) to support Amazon’s transportation network. Transportation Associates must obtain their Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Driver Qualification File (DQF) and utilize it as a condition of the role, paid for by Amazon. Because this position requires Associates to become CDL and DQF certified to drive Over-the-Road for Amazon, this position is regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and follows regulations issued by the DOT's Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Candidate must hold a valid driver's license for the state in which they reside and be eligible to drive in accordance with DOT requirements. For Department of Labor/Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration roles (roles for which you receive a CDL), English proficiency is required per federal regulation.
Continuing in the position with CDL and DQF certification is contingent upon the successful completion of a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening, a DOT physical and Amazon’s pre-employment drug test.

The starting pay for this position is listed below, including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select. As a total compensation company, additional earnings may include shift differentials and overtime pay. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
