Job description

Assists in the maintenance of vehicle, service records and other departmental records to ensure safe and efficient Transportation Department operations. Assist in relocating vehicles for service, or repair. Serves as a relief driver as needed. This is an assistant role and NOT a supervisory role.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*

• Assists in updating and printing attendance records and accompanying GATRA documentation.
• Reviews monthly attendance and vehicle logs for accuracy and inputs maintenance into Efleets portal and Exell Spreadsheets.
• Assists the Transportation Supervisor to ensure that all service invoices are submitted for payment, updated in multiple Excel spreadsheets, and filed in a timely fashion.
• Serves as mandated reporter for suspected cases of abuse and/or neglect to the Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC).

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attends all Transportation Drivers meetings and completes trainings, as required.
• Performs all duties of the Van Driver, as needed.
• Performs additional duties, as assigned.

PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• 1-2 years prior office experience with working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
• Preferred prior experience providing transportation services for individuals with disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of Massachusetts.
• Documented physical indicating fitness for job.
• Ability to follow directions, read maps and use GPS tracking systems(Azuga, Phone related GPS…)

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

No supervisory responsibility.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to sit for long periods.
• Frequent bending and walking.
• Ability to carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to assist individuals in and out of the vehicle.
