Job summary

Thermo King of Houston is hiring a Refrigeration Technician II at 772 McCarty Street, Houston, TX 77029. This full-time role focuses on preventive maintenance and service of Transport Refrigeration equipment for trailers and trucks.

The ideal candidate will have basic refrigeration skills, TK certification (or in progress), and the ability to work with DVOM, gauges, and power tools. Excellent organization and teamwork are required to succeed in a fast-paced service environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• One year of experience and TK certified or in process of TK certification.
• Mechanical background with trade school or related education.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must have own tools (DVOM, gauges, hand and power tools).
• Ability to perform basic mathematics and work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on trailers, trucks, and APU units.
• Diagnose refrigerant leakage, evacuate, and recharge systems.
• Replace components such as belts, hoses, batteries, starters, and alternators.
• Perform basic electrical diagnosis using DVOM and related tools.
• Maintain and diagnose battery systems.
• Install/remove Thermo King refrigeration units.
• Use computer to manage work orders and read diagrams.
