Job summary

Ring Power Corporation in Saint Augustine, FL seeks a Class A CDL driver responsible for inspecting trucks and trailers, loading and unloading equipment, and hauling to customer job sites while maintaining safety and compliance with DOT and DVIR requirements.

You will keep equipment in good condition, document everything with logs, communicate clearly with dispatch and customers, and adapt to urban, suburban, rural routes and tight construction areas while upholding professional service.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains current knowledge of all state and federal laws and complies with Department of Transportation regulations.

  • Loads, hauls, and unloads equipment and machines to customer sites or Ring Power facilities; maintains safe tie-down procedures.
  • Keeps equipment clean and reports any problems to Dispatcher; notes damages to equipment.
  • Capable of safe driving in urban, suburban, and rural areas and navigating tight construction areas.
  • Ensures all required haul documents are available and maintains accurate logs (logbook/electronic).
  • Maintains professional and courteous relationships with customers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Job Role

Maintains current knowledge of all state and federal laws and maintains compliance with all Department of Transportation regulations.

Inspects truck and trailer before dispatch. Ensures all equipment meets operating and safety requirements. Maintains compliance with DVIR requirements.

Class A CDL driver hauling a variety of trailers including, but not limited to, non-tilt and tilt-deck trailers. Responsible for loading, hauling and unloading equipment and machines to customer's job sites or at Ring Power facilities. Maintains safe tie-down procedures.

Keeps up the appearance of the equipment and notifies Dispatcher of any problems. Checks for customer abuse of equipment. Notes damages to equipment and informs Dispatcher.

Capable of driving safely in diverse conditions, including urban, suburban, and rural areas. Capable of navigating tight construction areas.

Ensures all required documents are available for haul. Maintains accurate logbook and/or electronic logbook.

Maintains a professional and courteous relationship with customers.

Performs other duties as assigned.
