Transportation Driver (Union / Hourly)

Location: Fargo, ND

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Pay Range + other compensation components: $31.08

Shift (if applicable): Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 6am-completion

Position Overview

The Transportation Driver hauls products from the manufacturing plant to distribution centers (and also can be asked to haul products from distribution center to other distribution centers.)

Key Responsibilities

• Drive tractor-trailer over established route to deliver, unload and account for products of the dairy industry to customer's place of business and distribution points.
• Traveling daily from Fargo, ND to Woodbury, MN and back.
• Must follow all Department of Transportation regulations.
• Records transactions and prepare paperwork.
• Maintains proper logs and other information as required by the Company and D.O.T.
• Listen to and resolve service complaints.

Required Qualifications

• Must have a Class A Interstate commercial driver’s license
• Minimum Age: 21 per Federal D.O.T. regulations
• Must be able to pass a D.O.T. Physical and Drug Screen
• Experience: Must have a minimum of two years transportation experience and a good driving record.
• Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours.
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical.

• Collect or pick up empty containers or reject or unsold merchandise

Working Conditions

• The Transportation Driver will have to stack and unstack items weighing 50 pounds from a height of approximately seven feet to the ground and back continually, as well as drag stacks of milk weighing approximately 240 pounds throughout the shift.
• (S)he will be required to work in very hot (100°+) and very cool (less than 32°) environments throughout the year.
• (S)he will also be required to work outside most of the time, regardless of the conditions.
• The successful candidate must keep the inside of truck clean, perform routine maintenance on truck, and work and drive in a safe, courteous and efficient manner.
