This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated, team-oriented physician with strong clinical and interpersonal skills to help shape and expand a dynamic program.**Sentara Norfolk General Hospital** has been a leading center for kidney and pancreas transplants since 1972, performing over 2,000 successful transplants and offering comprehensive care for patients with end-stage renal disease. The Sentara Transplant center is recognized as one of the most active kidney transplant centers in Virginia, performing between 90-120 transplants annually including multivisceral kidney pancreas and heart kidney transplants. The program also offers robotic and laparoscopic living donor kidney transplantation and participates with the National Kidney Registry. Additionally, 8-12 pediatric kidney transplants are performed annually in collaboration with the Children s Hospital of the King s Daughters.**Position Highlights:*** Join a team of 2 experienced Abdominal Transplant surgeons, to facilitate program growth and development.
