Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join its multidisciplinary Transplant and Hepatobiliary inpatient team. This role coordinates and manages liver, kidney, and pancreas transplant patients, as well as hepatobiliary patients, in a high acuity inpatient setting with exposure to critical care.

The position offers 40 hours per week over four 10-hour shifts, with shared weekend and holiday coverage.

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join its multidisciplinary Transplant and Hepatobiliary inpatient team. This role is responsible for the coordination and management of liver, kidney, and pancreas transplant patients, as well as hepatobiliary patients, in a high acuity inpatient setting along with exposure to critical care.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, comfort practicing with a high degree of autonomy, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position contributes to excellence in patient care and supports the educational and leadership missions of the organization.

The Piedmont Transplant Institute is ranked among the top 5% of transplant centers in the United States by volume, performing more than 300 kidney transplants and 200 liver transplants in the most recent fiscal year.

Position Details:

• Inpatient, non-OR days.
• Full Time: 40 hours per week, 4 10-hour shifts.
• Includes Shared weekend (1 weekend a month) and holiday coverage (1 summer and 1 winter holiday).

Minimum Education Required:

• PA: Graduate of a Physician Assistants program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board
• NP: Graduate from a school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master's degree in Nursing
