Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina seeks an experienced Registered Nurse II for the 6E Transplant unit. You will provide individualized patient care on an inpatient transplant unit, using the nursing process to ensure safe, effective care for kidney, liver, and kidney/pancreas recipients.

Responsibilities include rotating shifts, weekend/holiday coverage, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; RN hired after 2013 must enroll in accredited BSN program within two years and complete within four years.
• Current SC Board of Nursing license or compact state license; BLS certification required (AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR).
• Minimum of one year RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care using the nursing process.
• Deliver safe, effective care and collaborate with the health care team to achieve outcomes.
• Work in rotating shifts including weekends and holidays; participate in continuous professional development.
