Job summary

Hoag Health in Newport Beach, CA seeks a collaborative Transplant Nephrologist to join the Kidney Transplant and Nephrology Program. You will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient nephrology care for patients, participate in transplant candidate evaluation, and support program development within a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes evidence-based medicine, quality improvement, and growth of the transplant program in a top-ranked Orange County health system.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Successful completion of an ACGME Internal Medicine residency.
• ACGME-accredited fellowship in Nephrology completed or in progress.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Nephrology; CA license or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient nephrology care for kidney disease patients.
• Participate in evaluation and management of transplant candidates and recipients.
• Deliver consultative nephrology services and contribute to quality improvement.
• Collaborate with transplant surgery, hepatology, primary care, and other teams.
• Engage in multidisciplinary conferences and develop care pathways.
