Job summary

Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking a dedicated Transplant Infectious Disease Physician to join the solid organ and stem cell transplant team. The position is PRN with opportunities for remote/hybrid arrangements.

The role involves developing infection prevention guidelines, educating transplant teams, and collaborating with community partners to advance transplant infectious disease care across heart, lung, kidney, and stem cell programs.

Qualifications

• MD degree and board certification/eligibility in Transplant and Infectious Disease.
• Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in Virginia.
• Successful completion of a physician residency program.

Responsibilities

• Develop guidelines to prevent and manage infections in transplant programs.
• Educate transplant teams to ensure standard-of-care protocols.
• Collaborate with infectious disease partners to support transplant infectious disease care.
• Provide expertise in infections related to solid organ and stem cell transplantation and related diseases.
• Ensure quality care for patients with infectious diseases in heart, lung, kidney transplant groups.
